The TM Resource Center was born after more than 11 years dealing with Transverse Myelitis.
I had so many questions after my diagnosis. There were so many challenges myself and my family had to face. There was so much I had to learn.
Over the last decade, I jumped into the TM community with both feet. I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many kind, supportive people.
We’ve documented and traded stories. We built support groups on social media with thousands of members. We answered questions for those new to the world of spinal injuries.
One of the things I learned along the way was that so many of us are looking for the same answers and need the same kind of help rebuilding our lives.
I wanted to build a site with every resource I could possibly imagine. A single hub that serves as a doorway to the support, the products, the stories that remind you that you’re not alone. A central site that points you in the right direction for the things you’re thinking about and shines a light on things you may not have considered yet.
Do Affiliate Commissions Influence Your Recommendations?
It’s been a long 11 years and honestly, the vast majority of the recommendations you will come across were determined long before the idea of an affiliate website was born.
The number one, ultimate goal of this website, beyond anything monetary, is for someone with Transverse Myelitis to visit this site, find something helpful, and be happy they found us.
If you want to know the truth, sure the commissions from the retailer are helpful. Conventional employment is no longer an option since I’ve had TM, so extra money will help pay the bills (including medical). But the kicker is: if you decide to buy something based on my opinion and return it, I don’t make anything. The only way anyone benefits is if the content here is trustworthy.
What If There’s a Product I Love That You Haven’t Listed?
Contact us and let me know! If it’s a good product, I want to try it and we need to spread the word. You can email us or get ahold of us on social media.
